Day 10, Ely Nevada, 7-6-2009

A day's ride through some not-so-pretty countryside took me to Ely, Nevada where I stayed at one of my favorite hotels, the Hotel Nevada. It was built in 1929, and at the time it was the tallest building (6 stories) in all of Nevada. It's now a "biker friendly" hotel.

They put me in Hank Thompson's room.

Down in the lobby they have lots of interesting stuff.

My Beemer, slumming with a couple of Harleys.

Tomorrow, Boulder, Utah.
